350-001 Exam Information

350-001 is a 120 minute multiple choice exam consisting of between 90-110 questions. The exam is only available in English. This exam is considerably more advanced than any of the other Cisco certifications such as CCENT, CCNA, CCIP and CCDP.

Pearson VUE is the dedicated testing provider for this exam. You can register on their site, schedule your exam and pay the required fees. Your accredited ID is also maintained through the Pearson VUE site and exam results are automatically associated with your ID after the exam has been completed. Pearson VUE policies state that candidates must not take any electronic equipment into the examination room, this includes mobile phones, PDA’s and other communication devices.

The 350-001 Routing and Switching exam is aimed at experienced network technicians wanting to demonstrate their skills in a top level examination. This exam counts as credit towards the Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE). The exam tests candidates knowledge and skills in advanced areas of Cisco networking methodologies and practices.

Exam topics includes these high level topics:

• Routing and Switching networking theory
• IP, IP routing, non-IP desktop protocols
• Bridging and switch-related technologies
• Equipment commands

These are just some of the areas tested by the exam. Candidates should be prepared to answer questions on a large array of networking topics of varying difficulty.

Important Information

As of Feb 2009, candidates are no longer able to view previous questions, instead they have only one chance to select an answer before moving onto the next question.
