Samsung Renown (Verizon Wireless) Category: Smartphones The Samsung Renown has solid call and photo quality, and it offers Verizon customers true world phone support. Yet, its poor streaming video quality keeps it from being an all-around good multimedia device. RIM BlackBerry Tour 9630 without camera (Verizon Wireless) Category: Smartphones With a winning design and fast performance, the RIM BlackBerry Tour 9630 is one of Verizon Wireless' top smartphones for both business users and messaging fanatics. LG Flare LX175 - black (Virgin Mobile) Category: Smartphones The Virgin Mobile Flare is a simple, easy-to-use, affordable phone from Virgin Mobile. HTC Mogul PPC-6800 (Sprint) Category: Smartphones The Sprint Mogul by HTC brings some needed design and feature updates to its predecessor, and refreshes the carrier's staid lineup of smartphones. It has some performance issues, but is worth the upgrade. Samsung Alias 2 SCH-U750 (Verizon Wireless) Category: Smartphones The Samsung Alias 2 is an inventive update to Samsung's previous messaging phone. Provided you can afford it, and learn how to use it, it's a powerful messaging device with reliable performance. Samsung Glyde SCH-U940 (Verizon Wireless) Category: Smartphones The Samsung Glyde is a powerful cell phone with decent performance, but its touch-screen design and controls don't complement its features. LG KE850 Prada (Unlocked) Category: Smartphones While the LG Prada is a gorgeous phone with a stunning touch screen display, its simple feature set may not justify its hefty price tag. That said, if you want one of the most fashionable phones available, the LG Prada is definitely the phone to get. Samsung BlackJack II - black (AT&T) Category: Smartphones Although the Samsung BlackJack II doesn't bring any revolutionary upgrades, there are a number of welcome additions, including GPS and better performance, to make it a worthy successor and a good-value smartphone. HTC Touch Diamond2 Category: Smartphones The HTC Touch Diamond2 brings some notable improvements over its predecessor and promises to be a powerful touch-screen smartphone when it finally arrives in the U.S. Palm Treo 650 (Verizon Wireless) Category: Smartphones Though it has its shortcomings, the PalmOne Treo 650 offers solid performance and adds some key features to maintain its reign as smart-phone leader. Motorola Zine ZN5 (T-Mobile) Category: Smartphones The Motorola ZN5 is the best camera phone we've seen so far. But it doesn't stop there, as it's a good phone, too. Sony Ericsson W995a Category: Smartphones The Sony Ericsson W995a suffers from some design concerns and performance issues, but it remains an attractive and functional music phone. Samsung Exclaim SPH-M550 - blueberry (Sprint) Category: Smartphones The Samsung Exclaim is a welcome addition to Sprint's handset line. Its dual-slider design, feature set, and good call quality more than compensate for its shortcomings. T-Mobile MyTouch 3G (merlot) Category: Smartphones With the T-Mobile MyTouch 3G, the Google Android OS gets a much-needed boost. A few complaints remain, and some users may bemoan the lack of a physical keyboard, but we approve of its eye-catching design and interface, improved features, and satisfying performance. Nokia Surge 6790 (AT&T) Category: Smartphones The Nokia Surge offers AT&T's younger customers an affordable, feature-rich smartphone, but it has a number of design and interface issues. LG Xenon - Blue (AT&T) Category: Smartphones Despite a few problems, the LG Xenon is one of the better messaging phones we've seen, plus it has a cool touch-screen interface and plenty of features. Nokia 1680 (T-Mobile) Category: Smartphones The Nokia 1680 is adequate for anyone with minimal cell phone needs, but even moderate users will find it disappointing. Nokia 5300 Xpress Music - red (Unlocked) Category: Smartphones The Nokia 5300 is a well-designed, user-friendly music cell phone that offers an amazing range of features backed up by outstanding performance. Verizon Wireless Escapade Category: Smartphones The Verizon Wireless Escapade is ideal for globe-trotting Verizon customers who just want a simple camera phone. RIM BlackBerry Bold 9700 (T-Mobile) Category: Smartphones The RIM BlackBerry Bold 9700 brings T-Mobile its first 3G BlackBerry and improves on its predecessor with a sleeker design and more power. We only wish it had a better browser to complete the package. AT&T Quickfire - silver Category: Smartphones Though it has a few design quirks, the AT&T Quickfire's impressive feature set and intuitive controls make it one of the better messaging phones out there. Motorola Adventure V750 (Verizon Wireless) Category: Smartphones Though its performance didn't hit the highest marks, the Motorola V750 offers a great design and a functional feature set. |
