FIFA 12 comes packed with major gameplay changes.
The impact engine brings real world physics to the game. Players no longer just brush shoulders. Tackles will hurt players and they’ll feel the force and speed of the game as if it were a real match. Stronger plays will be sluggish but powerful whilst lightweight wingers will be fast but susceptible to being pushed off the ball.
New dribbling features allow players to dribble the ball whilst holding off other players. Smaller and more frequent touches are now possible and players can fine tune their dibbling skills for tighter ball control and more elegant goals.
As with all FIFA games the AI has been improved and refined. Computer players now make more use of their individual strengths. For example, wingers might cross the ball whilst tall defenders will head the ball as their preference.
FIFA 12 has a whole new online mode. Players can enter head to head seasons and take part in global cups and leagues online. The EA Sports Football Club launches at the same time as FIFA 12 and it comes with a brand new FIFA social network. Players can gain XP (experience points) and boast to their friends.
