The long awaited Twitch app is now available for Xbox Live. Twitch will be a major feature of the next-gen Xbox 720 coming out in 2013.

Twitch is one of the largest platforms for live streaming.

Gamers have long been streaming their favourite games through their PC and onto the Twitch service. Until now though, users had to watch live streams on their computer. Thanks to the new Twitch app, gamers can now watch their favourite Twitch channels directly from the Xbox console.

Xbox Live Gold subscribers can watch over 300 of the most popular streams using the Twitch app. The app also lets you browse channels by popularity and has a dashboard feature for instant access to the latest tournaments and news.
