Starting in the log cabin, with its splendidly designed interior, players must earn enough points to buy their way outside - into the driving rain and onto the lake. As soon as you step outside, weather effects amplify the tension and the eerie atmosphere starts to draw in. You'll see rain lashing down in front of you while flash lightning illuminates the sky at random intervals.
In the surrounding areas, you'll find camp tents, an open forest, classic cars and more soul chests that you need to fill. You'll feel at home on Crystal Lake because many of the textures and objects have been re-used from Shi No Numa - but that's not a bad thing.
As with most custom maps, map designers take time to include some of the best features from Treyarch zombie maps. Crystal Lake is no exception. You'll find the Solo Quick Revive perk added along with Soul Chests from Origins and a buildable power switch. Add on top of that some extras including an End Game, Power Ups and themed custom skins and you've got a really great map.
