"TS: Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Application Development Foundation". Microsoft Learning.
The 70-536 exam is one of the latest in a line of new exams targeting the .Net framework 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005. It is part of the MCTS certification group, which also acts as the building block for MCPD. This exam is an improvement from the older certificates (MCAD, MCSD) and has been designed to just target the .Net fundamentals such as Collections, Debugging, Reflection, Globalization etc.. Unlike the MCAD, MCSD exams (e.g. 70-305), this exam does not contain elements for Windows forms, Web forms or other UI components. Because of this the exam is common to the Windows, Web and Distributed Applications MCTS certifications.
