The 70-549 exam is one of the latest in a line of new exams targeting .Net 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005. It is part of the MCPD certification group which is a high level developer certification. This exam is the fifth exam in the MCPD Enterprise Applications certification. Unlike the MCPD Windows/Web certifications candidates must first pass all MCTS exams (4 in total). This exam is highly sought after and once achieved the MCPD Enterprise Applications certification is highly recognized and regarded worldwide. Like other MCPD exams users have the choice to select VB, C# or C++ as their preferred language before the exam starts.
