The MCPD certification is the latest in a line of new anticipated certifications, which are aimed at developers targeting the .NET framework 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005. This certification can be split into three groups; Windows Developer, Web Developer, and the high level *Enterprise Applications Developer. The MCPD certification does not cover database elective exams such as SQL Server or BizTalk. Instead it guides you towards a targeted area such as Windows, Web or *Enterprise Applications.
