How to load a game ROM in WinUAE

Once you have opened WinUAE select the HARDWARE - Disk Drives section. This section allows you to select which disks you want to use. The standard Amiga system only contained a single internal disk drive, however additional external disk drives were available (although at a price!). The WinUAE stays true by letting you use up to 3 external disk drives much the same as the Amiga system.

The default configuration for WinUAE only shows 2 disk drives when you first open this section. Its very easy to add more, you just need to change the extra drives from 'Disabled' to '3.5 DD' (3.5 double density). Opening more drives is particularly handy for games which have multiple disks such as lemmings 2, Syndicate, It Came From the Desert..



Now we have the drives ready to use lets choose the game disks. To select a disk simply click the open file dialog next to the drive and select an adf file:
