Finally, Installation made easy and it worked first time.
I have had many sad experiences in the past with WiFi routers and access points. This is the first Linksys router I've bought since it became a "Cisco" company. Wow, what a difference. This is how software / network installations should happen. Just read the directions and follow them. It's simple enough for most anyone. I couldn't believe how simple and straight forward the software installation was. I love the network view and maintenance. The range and speed are everything I need and want. I run 2 VoIP phone systems, 2 wired computers (one VPNed to work) and several wireless laptops PCs and printers. Range - Router is set up in 2nd floor on one side and reception is 4-5 bars on other end of house through metal studs. It works as advertised for me. Any issues I had with sharing printers where actually related to PC firewall software - not the router. And the router's network view helps you find IP addresses to fix those type of problems.

Easy to use router
I purchased this router to increase security on my PC that was attacked by spyware and viruses. It has been a couple of months now and I have not had any issues since I installed this router. (I did however, install Norton Internet Security at the same time.) The router was easy to install.

Work as expected without surprise
The WRT320N router replaces my Linksys SRX400 which has sporadic wireless issues. At first, I'm not sure this is a router issue or some PC wireless card went bad. The wireless error counter keeps going up over time so I suspected the hardware starts to break down in less than 4 years. As I'm more familiar with the Linksys interface, WRT320N seems to be a good choice.
The router comes with v1.0.3 so I do not need to make firmware update. I would suggest to use the cable provided by Linksys and reset your cable modem first so the setup is clean. The router solves the sporadic problem of wireless link loss and the reception is better through the house. If I place the PC next to the router, you can see the wireless speed @130 Mbps. I have used the router for a bit more than 10 days now. It is still up and running.
The new router does not provide basic statistics (transmit/receive/uptime) like in SRX400 model. I used that information to see how long the router can be used without reset - an important reliability indicator. Why remove such function from the new router model?

Works as expected
Upgraded from a Netgear Prosafe 10/100 wireless G Router. The gigabit speed made transferring files in between the living room Mac and the basement PC server much faster. The faster wireless isn't really noticable, but we just stream music and surf the web over wireless.
I was able to set up the security and change the port forwarding for bittorrent in about 10 minutes. Really easy setup.
