Instructor Led Classroom Training
Deciding which company to use for a tutor led training course is a tricky process. There are so many companies offering different training courses, each with their own prices and course material, it can be a real headache. Take the flip side of the coin though, and you have a vast array of companies all competing to give you value for money! It's not so bad.To help you choose the right training company for your needs we have compiled a list of several pointers which we feel are important. Ask yourself the following questions? How long is the course? Is there enough time to cover the material at a reasonable pace? If you think that there is too much information for the allotted time, then generally the course is rushed and might not be worth considering.Do you need prior knowledge to take the course? Some courses require that you have a basic understanding of a subject before taking the course.Has anyone you know used the training company before? Past experience is very often your best guide to knowing how good a training company is. Even though tutors do change over time, training companies tend to focus on a set of standards that they expect all their staff to meet. If the last trainer was good, the next one is quite often just as good. Will you get a certification at the end of the training? Some courses have complimentary exams which you can take to achieve a certification. Other training courses, can present you with a Driving License or Diploma at the end of the course. It's always worth enquiring because a certification will stay with you for life. Will the course progress your career? Many people take training courses without thinking about the long term benefits to their careers. Make sure the course you are taking is a present and in demand course that will stand the test of time. Remember, in the computing world there is always new technology just around the corner. Will my company pay for the training? It's a sad truth but training costs a lot of money. If your company can pay for your training then it is well worth taking advantage of the offer. Remember to check your contract though, as some companies will ask you to pay back your training fees if you leave the company within 6 months after the course.Advantages of tutor led training:Personal training experience Questions answered quickly Time allocated solely to training - no interruptions No need for your own computer or softwareOther things to checkAre the offices located close by?
