Using Books for IT Training
The world has grown to love books and computer books are no exception. There are literally 1000's of computer books covering a whole range of topics from web design through to Microsoft Office for dummies. What better way to start your training than by buying a book? Before rushing out a buying a training book, be aware that training books should be used as a complimentary aid to training rather than as your sole training material. It's very rare that a single book will cover all the topics required to become proficient in a given subject. For the less experienced computer user, books are a no no because they usually contain too much jargon to begin with. Another great way to study is by using e-books which can be bought at a discounted price and come in the form of a PDF file. These can then be popped onto a USB disk and read at work or home.If you do choose to buy a training book, you will be pleased to hear that most popular training books now come with training CD's together with workable examples for you to follow. These books are excellent in helping you to understanding the why's of the course material and also to give you a little push start into learning sub sections. Some books may also give you the PDF version of the book on the CD.A library is also an excellent place to read and borrow training books. Although, the choice in a library is limited you can save yourself having to fork out for the full price of a book. Most public libraries allow you to borrow training books for a week without any charge -just remember to bring them back before the time on the ticket.
