Online and Distance Learning Computer Courses
An online training course is an excellent way to learn a new subject matter. Be prepared though, an online training course requires self discipline and determination.Online training courses tend to be better if you want to progress your training at your own pace. They are also generally cheaper since the company offering the course doesn't need to account for the cost of training rooms, computers etc. If you are a little less experienced, an online course might not be the best choice as you do not get the care and attention of a one-to-one session with a tutor. Generally, people choose an online training course once they have gained a good grounding in computing, have their own computer or study room and are able to discipline themselves to study in their own time. What to expect from an online training course. As the name suggests, online training courses are conducted entirely over the internet. Users are given an account where they can access course information, training exercises, reference guides and other course material. Material is usually in the form of PDF's or web pages containing the course material. Some online courses allow you to print the material where as others do not. Check before you book the course to see which forms the material is available in - not everyone likes studying from a screen for too long!Note: Since the course is online, users are also given a limited time period to view the course material.Advantages of online courses:
Long course time spread out evenly Work at your own pace Generally cheaper No waiting time for the course to start No travelling needed Wide range of courses available
