Number of questions 70-528

The 70-528 exam is the Web Based Client Development exam for both the MCTS and MCPD certification paths. The exam is specifically targeted towards the .NET framework 2.0. The official title is Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Web-Based Client Development.

The 70-525 exam consists of between 55 and 60 questions and the exam duration is around 2 hours. If English is your second language you will be ask for more time but this must be declared when you book the exam. Before the test starts you have around 10 mins to read the terms and conditions, and also complete a Microsoft questionnaire about your chosen testing site.

Questions are taken from the following sections:

  • Creating and programming a Web application
  • Integrating data in a Web application by using ADO.NET, XML, and data-bound controls
  • Creating custom Web controls
  • Tracing, configuring, and deploying applications
  • Customizing and personalizing a Web application
  • Implementing authentication and authorization
  • Creating ASP.NET mobile Web applications

The questions are not split evenly between the sections so expect to answer more questions on any of the sections. Each exam is random so intensity and types of questions do vary.

Most testing centres prefer that you arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of your exam so that you have time to register and provide identity documents.
