How to get a hard copy print of your Microsoft certificate?

A few years ago, Microsoft used to send a free hard copy of your certificate in the post. These days, you can either download a high quality PDF version and print yourself OR you can purchase a hard copy directly from Microsoft.

It's all about reducing waste so Microsoft prefer if you download your certificate in PDF or XPS form.

Tip: If you're smart, you can still download the PDF copy and take it to your local print shop. Depending where you live, high quality prints are usually pretty cheap.

How to get hard copies directly from Microsoft

Hard copies are purchased through the My Certifications Section of the MCP site. Follow these steps to order a hard copy of your certificate..

1. Login to the MCP site:

https://www.microsoft.com/learning/members/

2. From the home page, you should see the My Certifications section on the RHS. This section lists your latest certifications.

3. Click the Download or purchase a certificate link under the Certificates section.

Purchase Microsoft Certfiicate

4. You'll see a list of all your certificates and check boxes for Download or Purchase.

5. If you want a hard copy, select the purchase box for the specific certificate and continue to checkout.

6. If you just want to print a PDF (or XPS) copy then select the Download option.

7. On the next step you can choose the paper size, either letter or A4

Notes:

If you choose the download option, certificates are about 5MB in size.

How much do hard copies cost?

Certificates cost $9.95 for the first certificate and $0.99 for subsequent certificates in the same order.
