About the test
The actual test is available in both English and French. It lasts for 30 minutes and consists of 20 multiple choice questions taken from a pool of around 200 questions. Applicants must answer at least 12 questions correctly to pass the test.
To be considered for Naturalization as a Canadian citizen:
- You must be a permanent resident with at least three years of residency in Canada
- Over the age of 18
- Know about Canada’s values (citizenship test)
- Are of a good character
- Able to speak English of French
