Free US Citizenship Practice Test
Practice Questions for New Naturalization Test
(USCIS)
Our free US Citizenship test is based on the New Naturalization Test by the USCIS (Application for Naturalization, form N-400). This new test came into effect after October 2008. The intended audience for the test are people who want to apply, or, who are currently applying for US Citizenship. Test questions are based on various American values such as American Government, American Lifestyles, Integrated Civics and America History. The test also covers intermediate English which is a new requirement of the new naturalization test.
The free test is presented as a friendly multiple choice system, with citizenship questions picked from hundreds of available practice questions. The test is free for all users so feel free to take the test as many times as you wish!
Questions are of the form:
Q. How many stars are there on the US flag?
A: 50
You should also meet the following requirements for US Citizenship:
- Swear an oath of allegiance to the United States
- Be a permanent resident of the United States
- Be at least 18 years old at the time of filing your application form (N-400)
- Demonstrate a basic knowledge of US history, government and civic principles
- Demonstrate continuous permanent residence
- Demonstrate an ability to read, write, speak and understand basic English
- Have lived in the US for at least 3 months prior to filing
- Demonstrate good moral character
