Microsoft announce date for 70-683 exam Windows 7 Preinstalling for OEMs

 The official release date for the next Windows 7 exam is confirmed as November 10 2009. The Windows 7, Pre-Installing for OEM's MCTS exam is currently in the development stage, shortly to be released as an official exam. This exam will be made available to the usual Microsoft exam test centres in your area.
The 70-683 exam is aimed at IT professionals who use the Microsoft OEM Preinstallation Kit (OPK) and imaging tools to deploy and maintain Windows 7 desktops and any additional tools. You are expected to have at least a years experience of working with desktop image deployments on a day to day basis. Candidates should be familiar with Microsoft best practices for using the OEM Preinstalltion Kit.
If you pass the 70-638 exam you will gain the Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist: Preinstalling Windows 7 for OEMs. This is part of the MCTS certification path for Windows 7.

There is no classroom training currently available. However, courses will usually be available once the exam is released.
