Spider-Man PS4 - How to Unlock the Secret Undies, Homemade and Dark Suits

The majority of suits in the new Spider-Man PS4 game are unlocked through player levels and an ample supply of Tokens. However, there are four secret suits that are unlocked through a specific set of requirements. In this guide you'll find details explaining exactly how to unlock the Naked, Homemade, Anti-OCK and Dark suits.

By now you should be familiar with the amazing abilities that suits offer in Spider-Man and the fact that Insomniac have allowed us to mix and match Super Powers with any suit we please. Furthermore, suits are dynamically rendered during cutscenes, making it even more provincial to unlock and try out your favourite suits.

Whilst the majority of suits show up in the menu as you progress through the game, four suits are hidden at the bottom of the grid. You may have seen these suits in YouTube gameplay videos or heard about them on the web, but their unlock requirements may be a mystery.

Before we dig into the suits in question, players should note that these suits are ALL end-game unlocks. You won't be able to unlock any of them until you've at least explored every district in the game. Some require that the main story is progressed to a certain stage and others will send you on a collectible hunting spree!

Note: Suit names may contain spoilers but this guide is intended to be SPOILER FREE.

Ok, let's take a look at the four secret suits...

Secret Suits

Undies (Naked) Suit

As the name suggests, this suit dramatically alters Spider-Man's appearance like no other! Removing practically all of his suit, except for his undies and mask - this suit takes Peter down to the very basics.

At face value the suit is comical in appearance and provides great laughs during cutscenes, but hidden within is a "high risk / high reward" Super Power. Whilst wearing this suit, players gain the "Equaliser" power, allowing Spider to inflict one hit blows to enemies at the expense of also being susceptible to one hit knockdowns - as the Super Power description perfectly highlights: "Everyone goes down in one hit, including you".

How to unlock

Get 100% completion in ALL districts.

As you can imagine, this is a massive grind, requiring you to complete every main mission and side mission in every district. This includes Base, Challenge, Research etc. Everything! So what we're really saying is - this suit is for the completionists amongst you!

Homemade Suit

The Homemade suit is a direct reference to the self-made suit from the Homecoming movie. Fans will remember that Peter makes this suit when forced to return his actual suit to Tony Stark after an incident with Vulture.

The suit consists of black welding goggles, red balaclava, red sleeveless hoodie, long sleeve blue shirt, blue sweatpants and red sneakers.

As you might expect, this suit doesn't come with a Super Power but of course by this stage of the game you've got plenty of other Powers to equip.

How to unlock

Collect all of the Backpacks in the game.

Backpacks are highlighted on the map by green beams (when using your ping/visor) so it doesn't take too long to collect every Backpack if you enjoy swinging through each of the districts.

Anti-OCK Suit

Probably one of the most beautiful suits in the game. This one comes with an all in black feel coupled with a strong yellow Spider symbol and yellow highlights. It looks stunning at night!

The suits Power called "Resupply" is also stunning - allowing the player to recharge Gadgets at an accelerated rate. You'll be unleashing weapons left, right and center with this Power behind you.

How to unlock

Simply reach the final BOSS in the main story.

I won't say too much more on this suit as I don't want to spoil anything, but lets just say that this suits Super Power is going to come in real handy for the final BOSS fight. It's an intense affair and one which you'll enjoy for many years to come!

Dark Suit (Deadpool / Widow)

Similar to the Anti-OCK suit, the Dark Suit is an all in black suit but with red spider symbol, red eyes and red highlights.

The suit has no power once again so like the Homemade suit, you'll need to pick your favourite Super Power from other suits you've unlocked previously.

How to unlock

Collect all of the Black Cat toys (dolls) in the game.

These are collectible items hidden in the open world, much like Backpacks but less obvious. Black Cat is of course the enemy, love interest, and ally of Spider-Man. Her actions, behaviour and motivations have varied through the course of the Spider-Man universe and we will see her grand entrance into the Spider-Man game in DLC 1.
