Twitteriffic the iPhone client for the social netowkring scene launches version 2.1 for the iPhone. Created by IconFactory way back in 2007, Twitterrific has become popular with iPhone lovers worldwide. Using the Twitter services, Twitterrific lets users view Tweets (messages) in real time on their iPhones as well as publish their own Tweets. With the release of version 2.1, Twitterrific now supports Growl notifications, enhanced AppleScript capabilities and can be used with other sites or services that use the Twitter API. The iPhone OS version of Twitterific won the 2008 Apple Design Award for Best iPhone Social Networking Application with critical acclaim with the media. Twitterrific also provides features to allow iPhone users to upload images from their phone to a Twitpic account for posting on Twitter.
Twitterrific is considered as the iPhone's premiere app for reading and posting to the Twitter social network. The software has undergone serious beta designs to provide an easy to use feature set with a wide range of options while sporting one of the most elegant user interfaces around.
To get started with Twitterrific, simply sign up for a free account at Twitter.com, then visit the App Store to download the Twitterrific software for the iPhone or iPod touch. The software is free.
Some of the features of Twitterrific for the iPhone include:
- Accounts, searches & trends -Twitterrific has them all and they take only seconds to set up & use
- Filter Tweets -Instantly filter your timeline by @replies, direct messages, favorites & more.
- Tweet Actions -Perform a host of actions on tweets including: RT, email, text compression and others.
- Themes -Select between several stunning visual looks & feels to find the one that best suits your tastes.
- Flexible Layouts -Choose between various layout styles to define the level of info you see.
Whats great is that Twitterrific 2 will work with the iPhone 2.1 firmware. It also works with the 3.0 beta firmware releases. There are some known minor issues when running under 3 however, which it is hoped will be resolved by the time the iPhone 3.0 OS is officially released.
