Graphics Card and Memory Requirements

The Forest looks absolutely amazing and as with all good things they come at a price. In order to run game you're going to need a decent graphics card and a modern or upgraded computer. There has been no official confirmation on system requirements but we do have some guidance from the devs.

As with most of today's PC games, you should have at least 4GB of RAM and a decent processor. Windows 7 and 8 and ideal, Vista maybe ok but XP is out of the question. Then it all comes down to your graphics card, which is usually where most PC's fail.

GeForce GTX 660m

According to the devs, the game has been tested on the GTX 660m series and Endnight Games recommend that you test your own GPU vs that card. They suggest using the GPUBoss website that does the comparison for you automatically. Simply enter your cards name and paste GTX 660M in the other search box, the rating figure that's displayed tells you how good your card is.

In most cases though, you can just compare your card specs against the GTX 660m series which the dev's used.

1 GB GDDR5

Generally speaking, if your card has less memory, probably in the 512MB bracket or a speed considerably lower than 1 GHz then you're going to have problems.

Of course there's many more factors that affect gameplay including the cards shading units, texture rate, pixel rate and many more! But this is just a guide for the average gamer.
