Minecraft | How to Create a Crafting Table
A
crafting table is arguably one of the most important objects in Minecraft. Without the Crafting Table (or workbench as its known) you will not be able to create (craft) the more advanced items in the game.
Once built the crafting table gives you a much bigger 3x3 crafting grid. This opens the door for many more crafting possibilities. The standard 2x2 crafting grid which you get at the start of the game only allows you to create a very small number of things such as the shovel, wooden planks etc..
Like other blocks in the game, the crafting table can be picked up and moved to other areas of the map. Its also one of the easiest items to craft because you only need 4 wooded planks which come from one wood block.
Crafting Table Recipe
1. Place 4 wooden planks on the crafting table as shown above
2. Drag the new crafting table from the RHS and drop it in your inventory
What can I build with the crafting table?
Most advanced items must be built with the crafting table because of its bigger crafting grid. Some of the things you can craft with the crafting table include:
- Furnace
- Stairs
- TNT
- Chest
- Compass
- Clock
- Fishing Rod
- Helmets (in fact all armor)
- Minecart
- Boat
- Doors
- Bookshelf
