Advanced Warfare will have Offline Mode called Combat Readiness

Sledgehammer co-founder, Michael Condrey, confirmed that Advanced Warfare will have an offline mode for players to practice against computer controlled bots. Tentatively named Combat Readiness, the new practice mode will be available on all game types.

Similar to Ghosts and Black Ops 2, the bot mode is perfect for players with an unreliable internet connection or simply no connection at all. It's also handy for those who want to experiment with different guns and learn the maps before diving into multiplayer.

If it turns out to be like the other offline modes seen in COD, then you'll be able to team up with other local players and engage in Combat Readiness together, either on the same team against the bots, or split with several bots on your side. Whichever the case may be, it'll be the usual split screen view.

Of course, don't expect to play against bots that match the level of human counterparts, both in stupidity and skill. But in the early days of the game it's a nice way to learn about the new Scorestreaks and Perks.

I'm not sure if they'll be any level of customisation yet. It would be good if you could select less campers, rushers etc. to suit your style of play but I'm sure you'll be able to select a difficulty setting though.

Lastly, the new offline mode will have its own ranking and unlock system which is separate to multiplayer.
