Black Ops Zombie Scientist on Five map

The zombie scientist (or Pentagon Thief as he's more commonly known) appears at about round 5 of Black Ops Zombies on the Five map. He steals your weapon and is really hard to kill.

Who is the Zombie scientist?

The zombie scientist makes an appearance on the Zombie Five map usually around level 5. Coming in through the red teleporters and travelling like a red mist, the scientist will catch up with you and steal your weapons! This is particularly annoying if you have a great gun that you'd rather not loose – like the freeze gun or mini gun.

You can think of the scientist as a bit like the dogs on Kin der Toten – he appears at around the same level and no other zombies appear when he's around. However, unlike the dogs who just rack up on front of your gun sights the scientist is about a million times harder to kill!!

If you want to kill the zombie scientist, you'll need to be quick, work together if in multiplayer, and last but not least..have a dam good gun! As with other zombies he'll chase the closest player to him and follow them until he catches up. Once he does catch up, he'll steal the players weapon. If you want to kill him before he does that - make sure you keep a good distance whilst bouncing grenades off of walls and planting claymores (if you have some). If you're playing with friends, get them to unleash rounds into the scientist whilst he's chasing you down the corridors. Long corridors are going to help the most.

If the Zombie scientist is killed, you can pick up a really nice perk! The scientist leaves behind a sale token to get a weapon box sale. All weapons in the box can be bought for a measly $10 a time instead of the usual $950! This gives you a chance to repeatedly try the box until you get a great gun. Also, when the mad scientist is killed, all players get their guns back.

Whats the best gun for killing the Zombie scientist?

Well, like guns which are good for everything else..the ray gun and freeze gun are the best weapons. Make sure you aim for the head because that inflicts the most damage on all zombies. Claymores and grenades should compliment your tactics as they allow you to run whilst still making some head way.
