Injustice 2 - All Premier Skins and How to Get Them

Posted in injustice 2

Premier skins, sometimes referred to as Premium or Premiere skins, are the top tier skins in Injustice 2. They dramatically alter not only your characters appearance but also the dialogue, pre-match taunts and audio dialogue experienced in the game.

In this post you will find details for each of the game's Premier costumes together with a short guide explaining how to unlock each of them.

If you have played any of Netherrealms other games, such as Mortal Kombat X, you will know that the best loot in the game is typically spread across different modes, challenges and in the case of Injustice 2, even platforms!

Q&A

First, let's kick off with some common questions to help you understand what Premier skins really are...

How many Premier skins are there?

We're still discovering all of the costumes but we believe there are 15 skins in total. You'd be right in thinking that there are more characters than there are Premier skins. Netherrealm have only added alternate costumes for the games most popular characters - thus far.

How do you get them?

Premier skins are collected (unlocked) in different ways, some examples are:

  • A very rare drop following a match
  • Small chance from a Diamond Mother Box
  • Purchased using "source crystals" (real money)
  • Buying the Ultimate edition of the game

Do they affect Super moves or stats?

Premier skins do NOT affect any super moves or stats. Netherrealm are against any kind of pay-to-win scenarios in their games and thus these items are purely cosmetic. That doesn't mean they aren't great though because imagine having a Premier skin activated and entering a public lobby where players will experience new dialogue and pre-match taunts!

The list below will be updated with any new information as it's discovered. Some images may be placeholders until screenshots are uploaded.

The Grid skin for Cyborg is a Premier skin that is unlocked by linking your mobile app to your console game. It doesn't matter if you're playing on Xbox or PS4, or whether you have the iOS or Android version of the app, simply link your WB account and the skin will be activated in the console game.

Supergirl - Power Girl

Transforms Supergirl into Power Girl - her counterpart from an alternate reality. This skin is unlocked through the Ultimate Edition of the game but may be purchasable later in the year.

Flash - Reverse-Flash

The bad guy version of Flash, Reverse-Flash is still quick but a mere foil of the true Flash superhero. This skin is unlocked through the Ultimate Edition of the game.

Green Lantern - John Stewart

The founding member of the Justice League of America was Hal Jordan, the first human inducted into the Green Lantern Corps. John Stewart is the alternate Green Lantern, introduced to DC comics in 1971 as the first African-American superhero.

This skin is unlocked through the Ultimate Edition of the game but like Power Girl, this skin may be purchasable later in the year.

Cheetah - Vixen

Vixen official premier skin

Vixen was intended to be the first African female superhero but sadly turned into one of the lesser known DC characters after Vixen’s original series was cancelled before it even got a chance to release. Thankfully Vixen appeared in a five-issue limited edition series back in 2008.

We don’t know the unlock requirements for this skin yet but the image above show’s Cheetah’s premier skin in the game's customization screen.

Flash - Jay Garrick

Official screenshot:

Jay Garrick official premier skin

Jay Garrick was the very first Flash superhero appearing in the comics in 1940. As we all know, Flash acquires his superhero abilities after a laboratory accident, granting him superhuman speed. This classic version of Flash fits perfectly with the original DC era. He has less of a Flash “suit” and more of a classic style of red top (with flash logo), blue trousers and the well remembered helmet.

Unlock requirements are currently unknown.

Captain Cold - Mr Freeze

Mr Freeze - DC Comics

Captain Cold is the lesser known bitter enemy of Flash. His alternate costume (Premier skin) in Injustice 2 is Mr Freeze - the well known enemy of Batman and former cryogenics expert from Gotham City, who uses his freeze gun to freeze targets.

Not the best looking premier skin I have to admit and not a great impression of Mr Freeze. Just wish they had put at least some decent arms on the guy but hey-ho.

We don't know the exact unlock requirements for this skin as yet.

More coming soon...
