Extinction Nightfall - How to Get the Venom-X Acid Gun

The Venom-X is the new Wonder Weapon in Ghosts Extinction. Probably the best gun in the game and certainly one you'll need against the Rhino's and tougher aliens. We'll show you how to get the Venom-X including finding new ammo.

Where is the Venom-X?

The Venom-X is extremely hard to unlock and you're going to need to get past the Breeder and then through the 2nd area and into the 3rd area - the research lab.

Once you've made it indoors, head towards the centre of the building and there will be a small room. Unfortunately, access to the room is blocked until you destroy the hive blocking the door. Since the game gets progressively harder as more hives are destroyed, its worth destroying that hive first.

After destroying the hive, enter the room and the gun will be on the desk. It's free!!

How to get more ammo for Venom-X?

The Venom-X comes with very limited ammo, 4 rounds in fact, so how do you get more?

If you remember back to the trailer for Nightfall, you'll know that the Venom-X is powered by Scorpion aliens and their plasma. To get more ammo you have to kill Scorpion aliens and pick up the little eggs on the floor. Each time you pick up an egg you'll get a new round of ammo for the Venom-X.

What does the Venom-X do?

The Venom-X fires blasts of plasma, very similar to the plasma fired by Scorpion aliens. It'll deal a serious blow on impact, but also leave a lasting taste for any aliens who come in the vicinity of the blast (the gas cloud).
