Monster Hunter World - Complete Monster List (Full Game)

Now that the many teasers and trailers are upon us, we know the complete list of ALL monsters included in Monster Hunter World. There are 25+ monsters included in the base game with a number of new and returning monsters coming in the free DLC later. In this guide you'll find a complete list of all monsters, together with short summary details and screenshots where possible.

If you don't like spoilers then I question your motives for being here, but just incase, please be aware that the information below contains a complete list of all monsters which could obviously spoil the surprise for you.

Capcam have promised that ALL DLC for Monster Hunter World will be free. The first DLC is planned for Spring 2018 and includes the Deviljho monster. Other new monsters will be added throughout the year.

Complete Monster List



1. Nergigante



Nergigante

Nergigante is an Elder Dragon monster that was first introduced in Monster Hunter World. Like other Elder Dragons, Nergigante is an extremely aggressive monster that can regenerate the spikes on its back, arms and tail if they are broken off. This particular dragon has been spotted in the Wildspire Waste map.

2. Anjanath



Anjanath

Anjanath is a Wyvern who debuts in Monster Hunter World. Looking much like a T-Rex dinosaur, this monster has powerful jaws and can even breath fire from it's maw. Players have spotted this creature in both the Ancient Forest and the Wildspire Waste.

3. Barroth



Barroth

Barroth has been in the Monster Hunter series as far back is 3. He is a large pideal monster with a strong territorial instinct. His strong forehead can smash through environmental objects and he won't repent until the intruder is removed from his home grounds.

4. Rathalos



Rathalos

Rathalos is part of the flying Wyvern group of monsters in the game. They are of course prone to hunting from the skies, using poisonous talons and releasing fire projectiles at prey down below.

5. Great Jagras



Great Jagras

Looking like giant lizards, the Great Jagras is a fanged Wyvern that is relatively passive until attacked or disturbed. Their large mouths allow the jagras to swallow animals whole!

6. Diablos



Diablos

Diablos is a large flying Wyvern that poses strong armour with distinctive horns above their head. Diablos can often be seen burying into the ground to surprise unsuspecting prey and intruders to their territory, pounding out a powerful roar and charging down anything in their way.

7. Great Girros



Great Girros

A new introduction to Monster Hunter World, Great Girros is a fanged monster that looks similar to a cobra snake with legs. It has large fangs that can paralyze its prey, in addition to another yellow poison that it spits from its mouth.

8. Jyuratodus



Jyuratodus

Jyuratodus is a fish-like creature that is a new entry to the Monster Hunter series. It has large brown scales which are typically obfuscated by mud. Players will encounter Jyuratodus in the Wildspire Waste map and it can often be found fighting against Barroth as both monsters share a similar habitat.

9. Kulu-Ya-Ku



Kulu-Ya-Ku

The first of the bird creatures to be introduced in Monster Hunter World. Kulu-Ya-Ku looks like a cross between a raptor and a dodo. It picks up and throws boulders to protect itself but otherwise is a fairly small and easy to kill monster.

10. Lavasioth



Lavasioth

Another fish-like creature whose habitat is actually lava. Protected by magma scales, the Lavasioth can launch huge balls of magma that break into smaller molten rocks that cause considerable damage. In addition to these fearsome projectiles, the Lavasioth can also belly flop to crush opponents.

11. Legiana



Legiana

One of the flying Wyverns, Legiana appears with leaf-like wings and a thin body structure. Legiana can emit a chilling wind which disables it's preys ability to escape. This creature is commonly found in the highest peaks of the Coral Highlands.

12. Odogaron



Odogaron

Making its debut in Monster Hunter World, Odogaron looks like a ferocious dog creature with large claws. Odogaron is an agile monster for its relatively large size which can inflict bites and deep cuts with it's large claws that cause bleeding over time.

The final BOSS in Monster Hunter World. Xeno is one of the High Rank Elder Dragon's.

27. Deviljho (DLC 1)



Deviljho

The first DLC monster of Monster Hunter World. Deviljho is a brute Wyvern who first appeared back in MH3. It has immense bone crushing jaws that inflict serious damage to foes and prey, whilst its powerful legs allow Deviljho to leap and run at high speed. Deviljho can also produce a stream of smog that projects from its mouth causing damage to those caught in its way.

Available in DLC 1 (Spring 2018).
