Survival Mode Arrives on Minecraft Pocket Edition - Download Now for iPhone and Android

The wait is over! Survival mode has made its way onto the Pocket Edition of Minecraft. You can now download the update from the iTunes store and Android marketplace.

If you haven't played the Pocket Edition yet, then you're really missing out. No more hunching over a PC..play Minecraft anywhere and anytime! On the train to work, break time at school or just chilling in the living room.

The update is already available for Android (11th Feb) but the iPhone and iPad version will take time to get approved by Apple. Expect those sometime on 12th Feb. The new update is your first chance to see mobs in the mobile version of Minecraft, although crafting is still not in there yet.

We've been playing the update for the last 3 hours and so far we've seen:

• Sheep
• Pigs
• Zombies
• Day and night cycle
• New tools, sword and axe
• Health bar
