Molotov Cocktail

The Molotov Cocktail is an offensive weapon that players can craft and use as a deterrent against the mutants. Although the Molotov doesn't provide much of a bang effect, it does leave a small trail of fire, which damages mutants who come into contact with it.

As you can imagine, this weapon is most effective against groups of mutants as you're more likely to hit one with splash damage. The impressive range of the cocktail means that you can lob one while staying a safe distance or even behind a wall of your base.

Using several cocktails you can strategically create a 'wall of fire' thus preventing mutants from crossing a particular boundary, maybe giving you time to escape a hostile area.

How to craft

Only two items are required to make a Molotov Cocktail. They are:

Cloth
Booze bottle

Most of you will be familiar with the booze bottle which is abundantly available in the back of the plane wreckage. Make sure you're not tempted to drink it otherwise the magic ingredient is wasted (and you'll lose health too).

Next up is the cloth. Now this item is much harder to find unless you know the secret. Some people will tell you to search near water but I'm going to tell you a much easier way. Cracking open a suitcase (found near the plane) will usually provide you will cloth for the minimum amount of effort. All you need is the axe to chop open a case.

Combining the items

Once you've got the two items you need to combine (craft) them together using the Backpack.

1. Press the I key to open the Backpack
2. Right click the Booze
3. Right click the cloth
4. Then click the cog image to complete the crafting process
5. Click the Molotov to move it into your inventory
6. Left click the Molotov to equip it

Using the Molotov

Once equipped, the weapon can be used by clicking the left mouse button. It's a one use weapon so once you throw it its gone, unless you've crafted some more.
