COD Ghosts - All Perks List and Point Values

Posted in cod ghosts

The full list of COD Ghosts perks has been revealed by Infinity Ward. It's a combination of the old classics (some renamed) and few new ones thrown in to spice things up. As usual, you've got a limited number of slots to equip perks and you're weapons consume space too.

There are 35 perks available in Ghosts and each perk has an associated point value ranging from 1 - 5. Players have a standard pool of 8 points to spend on perks, but this can be increased to a max of 12 if you sacrifice primary or secondary weapons, or tactical equipment.

To get the maximum 12 points to spend on perks you would have to forget both your primary and secondary weapons and start the session using only your knife. It's up to you how you spend those points.

How to unlock perks

Perks are unlocked in one of two ways. You can unlock perks by reaching a particular level (traditional XP gain) or you can buy your way to the perks by spending Squad Points.

What are the best perks in Ghosts?

Traditionally, there have always been a set of core perks in COD which provide the ultimate class. Although the names are slightly different in Ghosts, they still provide the same advantages. These perks are:

  • Sleight of Hand - reload faster
  • Stalker - move fast while aiming
  • Steady Aim - increased hip fire accuracy
  • Incog - stay off the radar

In our experience, combining those four perks together makes for the perfect combination. This of course depends on the chosen weapon but as with all COD games in the series, light but powerful guns with high ammo and fast reload time are usually the veterans choice.

Those who wish to experiment a little might prefer to go for a more colourful class comprised of these interesting perks:

  • Wiretap
  • Ping
  • Sleight of Hand
  • Stalker

This combination will give you the advantage of using the 'ping' sonar to reveal nearby enemies when you pick someone off. Combined with the wiretap perk, you've got a head start to finding those easy targets. As a compromise the sleight of hand and stalker will boost your accuracy and response time between kills.
