AlphaPlugins FirTree is an installable module for Adobe After Effects that helps you create animated tree branches in your After Effects videos. This free plugin is perfect if you’re looking to create Christmas and New Year videos.
The plugin creates realistic tree branches with finely detailed leaves and branches. There are many options you can configure right down to the number of bristles, needle material and lighting effects. You can even control the movement of the branches to make them appear more natural and realistic.
You can also use another AlphaPlugins product called Ornament which allows you to create fir trees with beautiful Christmas balls and toys hanging on them. IcePattern is another great plugin for creating winter themed videos.
Creating artificial objects to simulate natural trees and plants is extremely difficult in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop. Without the help of plugins, creating the natural sway and realism of a tree is near impossible. Thanks to AlphaPlugins this is a lot simplier.
