The Sonic game has been optimized for Android devices rather than being a direct port from the Sega. This is clear as soon as you play the game because the controls are smooth and the game is still as much fun as it was in the 1990's.
You can easily play Sonic using any of the Sega emulators available through Google Play, but this version really does beat the all.
Unlike the original (which first appeared on the Sega) this game includes characters who were only seen in later Sonic games - namely Tails and Knuckles. You'll probably remember that tails is the one who can fly by spinning his tail! Whereas, Knuckles has the ability to glide downward through the air, climb up most walls and even break through tougher barriers.
Not only has the gameplay been optimized for Android but the soundtrack has also been fully re-mastered. The old tunes still sounds as good as ever!
