70-528 Designing Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 - Web-Based Client Development, consists of questions from the web client development side of the .NET framework 2.0. Unlike 70-548, this exam focuses on raw coding rather than design principles of web development. Questions vary from implementing the FileUpload control, through to, implementing cross page postbacks and avoiding round trips. This exam is part of the MCPD professional developer path and it is assumed that you have sufficient knowledge of, or have passed the 70536 exam for fun dental .NET framework skills. Microsoft recommend that you should have at least 2 years experience developing .NET web applications in a small to medium sized team.
The 70-528 exam consists of between 50 and 60 questions which are all taken from the topics covered by 70-528. Note though, questions are not split evenly between each exam category. You might be asked more questions about web controls than configuration and deployment. It's essential that you are confident in answering questions from all areas of .NET web development.
The 55 questions (or so) must be completed within 90 minutes, but you are allowed 10-15min reading time before the exam starts. This gives you time to accept Microsoft's terms and conditions, and familiarize yourself with the exam layout.
Once you have completed the exam, there is no waiting time for your result. It is shown immediately on screen. However, depending on the network speed of the test centre this can take between 1 and 3 minutes to show. Like other Microsoft exams the pass score for 70-528 is 700 out of 1000.
