Dune was an amazing strategy game that blended adventure with economic and military strategy into one complete game. It was developed in 1992 by Cryo Interactive and published by Virgin Interactive. It was one of the first Command and Conquer style games that would cement its name in history.
Loosely following the Dune novel the game featured both RTS (real time strategy) and adventure gaming. The player had to take part in dialog between characters to progress the linear plotline in addition to the mini quests and strategy elements.
Dune also boasted one of the best computer game sound tracks of the time. Now available on CD as Dune: Spice Opera.
