IK+ (International Karate Plus) was one of the few fighting games on the Amiga that didn't suck. In fact, it was a dam good game. Rather than fight your way through side scrolling levels (like other games at the time e.g. Turtles), you were placed in a fixed combat area for a fixed duration. If you played on your own then the other players were computer controlled. Or you could play IK+ with a friend who would control one of these other players.
IK+ contained a variety of fighting moves including the flying kick, headbutt (awesome!) and leg sweep. There were many other moves and considering the Amiga had only 1 fire button, it was easy to fight your way through the rounds. A mr miyagi type character keeps the score, just keep getting those points and work your way up to black belt.
IK+ could be seen as a very primitive version of Mortal Kombat or Super Street Fighter, but its completely different and well worth playing.
Try pressing the T keyboard button during gameplay for a hilarious trousers down moment!
