Why Use a Job Agency - Job Hunting Tips

Job agencies are great if you are looking for someone to take the burden of applying for jobs off your shoulders. It can be a stressful and time consuming process so whats the harm in using a little help? We have compiled a list of some of the reasons not to use a job agency, however we still believe agencies are the best way to successful employment:

Why not to use a job agency

1. Agencies inflate job salaries to keep you interested.

2. Agents are in it for money. The more employed people they place the more commission they get. Remember this, they are usually your best friend until you are rejected after an interview. Do not let this get you down, it's just the way they are.

3. Some agents have a habit of making mistakes because they detail with a large number of clients. It's easy to get the wrong information for an interview such as a technical test that was supposed to be taken then never happened.

4. Above all, agents take some of your salary! This is a point that most people forget. Agents take a cut of your salary when you are employed. Of course it's not you who has to pay it but the employer. This means the employer will have less to pay you annually compared to if you took the job directly.
